The first step when setting up your ButtonShift workspace is Creating a Team. This article will guide you through adding members to your workspace—whether they’re internal teammates, clients, or freelancers and setting the right permissions for each.

How to Add Members and Set Permissions

Follow these simple steps to invite new members to your workspace:

  1. Expand the Panel: On the right side of your screen, expand the panel and choose “Members.”
  2. Enter Email Addresses: Type in the email address of the member you want to add. You can either select their email from the dropdown list or hit the Enter key. To add multiple members at once, simply enter additional email addresses, separated by commas.
  3. Choose a Permission Level: Select a permission level for the members you’ve entered. Your options are:
    • Admin: Has full control over the workspace except billing.
    • Manager: When assigned, managers have full control over boards & collections, they can create, edit, and delete.
    • Regular: Limited control to perform actions in your workspace, they can delete the things they create.
  4. Important Note: The permission level you select will apply to all email IDs entered in that batch.
  5. Click Add: Once you’ve entered the email addresses and selected the permission level, click the “Add” button.

An invitation will then be sent to the members, prompting them to join your ButtonShift workspace.

Adding Members with Different Permissions

If you need to add members with varying permission levels (e.g., some as Admins and others as Regulars), you’ll need to repeat the process for each permission group. Simply enter the email IDs for one permission level, click “Add,” and then restart the process by entering new email IDs and selecting a different permission level.
